We understand that your privacy is everything.
We recognise the dangers of your artworks getting into the wrong hands, and the considerable loss in value this can cause.
We are therefore choosing to spell out our privacy policy in plain English to demonstrate how seriously we take the responsibility of helping you store and manage your inventory.
Views is not an art dealership, and never intends to be.
We charge our users a subscription to use our products. It is possible that at some point in the future we will also charge additional fees for helping dealers and collectors locate and sell artworks. If our system is able to identify what our users are looking for, then it is possible that Views will be able to point users in the direction of an artwork that could be of interest, while maintaining buyer and seller’s privacy at all times.
For example, if you have a 90s Kusama Infinity Nets painting you are looking to sell, and Views is aware of a buyer who is looking to buy a 90s Nets painting, it may be in everyone’s interest for Views to notify buyer and seller of the opportunity, and (if both parties are interested) connect them in exchange for a small fee.
No Views staff will ever know what artworks you have in your Views account, unless you explicitly ask us in writing to look into your account for whatever reason.
We recognise that our success as a company is heavily tied to how well we protect our users’ privacy and their artworks’ confidentiality. We have hired industry leaders in data and infrastructure security, and continue to invest in making Views the safest and most secure inventory management platform available to art industry professionals.
Our user data is stored following best security practices, and all data is encrypted in transit and in rest using military grade encryption.
Artworks uploaded to Views cannot be seen by other Views users unless you deliberately share your works with these users through the platform. Your uploads are completely confidential, and can only be seen by you (or other members in your team if you have a team account) unless you deliberately make a share to another user.
We understand that protecting the identity of your artworks from other Views users is absolutely critical. It is of course possible that you might mistakenly share something with someone. Please note that we are unable to accept any liability in this or any other similar situation.
We appreciate that you are putting your trust in us when uploading your inventory to Views. We are backed by venture capital, so have our investors’ reputations in our hands as well as our own. We hope to grow Views into a successful business over the long term, and in an industry such as ours this success will be built on Views having a trusted brand. We hope it is obvious from the above that it is not in our interest to abuse your trust; we have a lot to lose in doing so.
If you would like information on our investors please contact us at contact@viewsart.com.
